The article is dedicated to the most pressing issues in professional training within the newest interdisciplinary field of global studies. The authors highlight the intensification of globalization and the growing interdependence of countries across the globe. They also observe that contemporary education is ill-equipped to address issues requiring not only a nationally-focused, but also a globally-oriented approach. In this context, the authors propose the organization of the educational process in active integration of various sciences and the creation of alternative to the traditional faculties within the structure of modern universities. They argue that the intertet will be a more effective means of ensuring the organization of education on an interdisciplinary basis based on broad international connections than traditional faculties.
